My Story...

I started writing my book in January of '09. After 10 months of writing, writer's block, and trying so hard not to go crazy, I finished my book. My dad found Tate Publishing in an article about a teacher in Rogers who published her book. After maybe a week or so, I decided I would like to send my book in to them. While we sent it in, we filled out a form and had to put in a phone number. My dad had me put in his number. A couple weeks of going crazy, my dad told me if Tate called him and said my book was accepted, he would call the school and have them announce it on the intercom. I didn't believe him. A couple MORE weeks of going crazy, I was in the computer lab called "the fishbowl" (has glass windows around it, so people can see in) and our principal, Mrs. Terry, came over the intercom and said, "Attention teachers and students, we would like to congratulate 7th grader Disney Humphrey..." and went on to say about my book being published and all. I was so close to crying. It was just so awesome.
